Dear friend, I understand your concern as a Christian regarding consulting fortune-telling methods or Medium. First and foremost, fortune-telling is an attempt to predict the future, which contradicts the teachings of the Bible. The Bible teaches us that God is the one who guides our lives and that we should trust Him.
In Deuteronomy 18:10-12 (NKJV), it says:
“There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you.”
This passage emphasizes that God is the one who leads our lives and that we should place our trust solely in Him.
Instead of relying on fortune-telling and or medium, it is essential to entrust our lives to God and seek His guidance. God knows our needs and will direct our paths. Therefore, we should cast our worries and concerns about the future upon Him and seek His wisdom and direction.

Leviticus 19:31 (NKJV):
“Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.”
This verse warns the Israelites, God’s chosen people, against following mediums and spiritists or defiling themselves with such pagan practices. As their only God, Yahweh demanded pure faith and worship. In the ancient Near East (modern-day Middle East), magic and divination were common practices that went against God’s will. Therefore, the Israelites were instructed to look only to God and obey His commandments.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We thank You for guiding us through Your Word and showing us the right path. Through Leviticus 19:31, we are reminded of Your command not to turn to mediums or spiritists but to trust in You alone. This teaches us that we should rely on no one but You, living in faith according to Your will.
Lord, in today’s world, many are tempted to turn to things like fortune-telling out of anxiety or curiosity about the future. However, we recognize that such practices displease You. Help us live according to Your Word and guidance instead of seeking answers elsewhere. May we entrust every moment of our lives to You and live with the peace and wisdom You provide.
Lord, strengthen our hearts so that we may not waver but always look to You alone in faith. Grant us unwavering trust in You so that our lives may align with Your will. We pray this in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.
